Assistant Procurement Manager – PC Global Collaborative Manufacturing
Main Job Purpose :
- Collaborative Manufacturing (CM) is growing in terms of scope and relevance for our Business. Under the new Compass Organization, Procurement is hiring a Global CM Assistant Procurement Manager with focus on Toothbrushes.
- This newly created role will report to the global CM procurement manager PC with a strong connection to SEAA Toothbrush procurement manager, been the Procurement business partner to Personal Care Business Group and product technologies under scope and the Global SC CM team on strategic projects.
Key Accountabilities :
- Support portfolio strategy execution and reporting of all key initiatives.
- Ensure competitive buying through cost model analysis, benchmarking, and execution of buying strategy (ie. E-tender).
- Build strong relationship and work collaboratively with suppliers, ensuring products are delivered at high quality and service and with compliance to Unilever’s responsibility sourcing.
- Lead buying/supply resilience initiatives and co-drive specs optimization/sustainability projects with R&D.
- Lead supplier scouting to ensure capacity and capability pipeline of UL TBs supply.
- Support Procurement manager with the contracting process and the subsequent roll-out.
- Support category strategies and work closely with cross functional teams (Planning, Sourcing Unit, R&D and Marketing) to deliver key projects.
- Handle procurement-related day-to-day activities under his/her scope to ensure smooth and continuous operations.
- Foresee trends by staying close to market, communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Consolidate, validate, and analyse global data related to key BG products under scope.
- Identify areas of opportunities for Value generation projects, including potential cross sourcing alternatives.
- Explore/ Scout market possibilities for new supply alternatives for key relevant technologies in the portfolio.
- Build market knowledge on trends, market capabilities, strategy shifts, geo-political influences to provide market insight to internal stakeholders and support strategic decision (bringing the outside in).
- Participate to the global products technology/format capacity allocation to deliver sustainable growth for the Business Group.
- Resilience program implementation.
- This role requires deep dive analytics, great understanding of continuous improvement plans, market scouting and supplier selection capabilities, as well as E2E SC understanding.
Does this sound like you?
- Procurement professional with at least 3 years of experience across procurement operations and sourcing.
- Expertise is handling 3rd partied manufacturing / packaging buying.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities (incl. finance)
- Strong ability in managing multiple stakeholders, projects, and deadlines, with strong analytical & negotiation skills and “can do” mentality.
- Financial acumen for business cases and reporting.
- Experience in Procurement transformation projects, tools, and technologies.
- Self-starter mentality
- Ability to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Experience in Cross Functional working
- Experience and understanding of business processes and SAP systems.
- Appetite for change and eagerness to collaborating with stakeholders to drive change & improvements.
