MAIN JOB PURPOSE

Main Job Purpose For The Role As Below

Packaging/TPL Assistant Manager is part of BW R&D team based in Indonesia on a full-time basis. The focus on packaging will be on rigid packaging (plastic closure & container), flexible packaging & decoration (label), and corrugated box as secondary packaging. As TPL, the focus will be on project management.

Delivering packaging programme by working together with global team. Leading packaging development and testing for BW Indonesia. Leading sustainability agenda for BW R&D Indonesia. Leading 5S packaging agenda for BW Indonesia. Working with cross functional team: Manufacturing / Engineering / Supply Chain / Procurement / Quality & technology team on landing projects On Time, In Full Working with external partners & suppliers to ensure product / technology options meet UL requirements. As a TPL (technical project leader), lead deployment of global projects for Indonesian market and end-to-end management of local projects

Job Summary

Packaging part: lead packaging R&D work for Hair Indonesia

• Delivering innovation packaging solution to agreed project OTIF by following best practice in packaging project management.
• Driving and supporting Marketing, Procurement, & Supply Chain on technical programmes for alternative material sourcing, optimizing the existing pack portfolio, helping in assessment of problem solving which interface among Packaging and machines
• Working together with global & regional packaging team for deployment of new packaging in Indonesia.
• Working with corporate sustainability team to drive sustainability agenda for BW.
• Monitoring packaging competitor activity and complete technical assessment reports.
• Key contact for Packaging in Indonesia.
  

TPL part: lead deployment of global projects for Indonesian market and end-to-end management of local projects

• Working with the brand partners, shape & lead the technical product design for local projects across all elements of the product – packaging, formula, claims, fragrance etc.
• Project management: plan, agree, monitor and review project workplan and deliverables of individuals working on technical project tasks.
• Manage stakeholders and keep them informed of technical delivery.
• Communicate, give inputs, and act as local R&D point of contact to regional / global TPL for development of global/regional projects.
• Manage risk by leading technical risk assessment in cross-functional project teams. Monitor implementation of identified risk mitigation strategies.
  

Others

• Ability to understand operating principles and establish technical standards.
• Ability to discuss with Engineering & Production team on packaging and packing machine interface to find solution and problem solving.
• Ability to understand relevant risks relevant to packaging in projects and raise them to the team
• Drive own development plan with the support from Manager, develop procedure and train others, facilitate sharing of learning within team.
• Present updates to Category team and Gate-Keeping forums as required during project work.
• Passion to learn project management, and new things outside packaging area.
  

Key Requirements

Self-driven, highly motivated and good interpersonal skills. Positive attitude, responsible, fast response, and creative. Having technical background with strong analytical & trouble shooting skills. Data management and analysis skill, and business process management is required Minimum bachelor’s degree or higher from any science/engineering major. 2-3 years’ experience in packaging area (WK), especially in rigids and flexibles Experience as technical project leader (WK), formulation (BA), processing (BA), and consumer insight (BA) will be a plus. The candidate must be fluent in verbal and written English IT savvy and keeping up with the latest digital application updates & trends. Able to manage virtual team relationships. Good communication with both internal and external business partners as well as manage stakeholder. Good presentation skill

• BA = Basic Appreciation, WK = Working Knowledge.
