About The Role
If you’re looking to be a part of a dynamic, highly-analytical team and an opportunity to dive deep into projects surrounding data privacy, look no further. As our Data Privacy Speciality for Data Security and Privacy Team, you’ll take the wheel in building privacy culture for GoTo Financial. Along with privacy compliance, you will be in charge of overall data security . Working closely with the Product, Engineering and Legal team, you will get to manage projects pertaining to Data Privacy Initiatives. The cherry on top: you’ll get to be a part of a team that works to protect customer, employee and partner’s data.
What You Will Do
Our GoTo Financial Data Security and Privacy Team is a new team being assembled within our brand new GoTo Financial and GoTo Group. Our ecosystem processes millions of customer data that needs to be kept strictly confidential to prevent any issues such as data breaches from occurring. Thus, our team’s main responsibility is to oversee and manage the platform’s data security and privacy. We work in close collaboration with various Information Security teams within the GoTo Group who are equally responsible for ensuring security remains a top priority within our ecosystem.
As a newly formed team, we are constantly tackling new challenges and adapting to changes that come with rapid scaling, some of which include the deployment of data security policy and compliance with the regulations for GoTo Financial entities. We bounce ideas and opinions off of each other during team meetings, learning and growing in our data security and privacy expertise along the way.
So, that's a snippet of our work. Although, that is not the only thing that we enjoy doing together as a team. Turns out, we have been enjoying WFH more than we thought we would 😬. Off-hours, you’d probably find us watching the latest blockbuster movies, whipping up a delicious meal in the kitchen, or going for a run around the neighborhood

What You Will Do
- Conduct security and privacy assessments for application/product as per project plan
- Evaluate data loss risks and identify gaps in existing security & privacy capabilities
- Maintain and monitor Data Privacy Risk Register
- Manage operational tasks related Data Subject Access Request
- Develop policy, and technical requirements for Data Privacy Program and initiatives
- Support periodic reporting of the data leakage issues as required by management
- Plan, drive and support data security initiatives as assigned across the region, helping and assisting business on data protection and risk reduction approaches and/or processes
- Work with vendors and internal team for data privacy awareness campaigns
- Comprehensive understanding of data security methodologies, technologies, and best practices, and working experience with Data Loss Prevention technologies across endpoints, network, email, and cloud applications in an enterprise environment.
- 3 years and above in supporting large organizations with focus on IT/Information security
- CIPP, CDPSE or other industry recognized security certification(s)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a complex, global organizational structure with teams across diverse functions and culture
- Strong analytical, investigative skills and attention to detail. Be able to solve problems with system-based approaches, set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
